Operating principle and technical details
Charger ISDT Q6 Retro works on the same advanced principles as other ISDT models. Its heart is a high-frequency pulse converter and an intelligent controller. The device receives power from an external direct current (DC) source. For LiPo batteries, the CC/CV algorithm with active balancing is used. The processor supplies constant current until the battery voltage reaches its peak.
Then it switches to constant voltage mode, gradually reducing the current. Active balancing is the technology that sets ISDT apart from many others. It does not discharge the leading cells, but pumps energy between them. This happens faster and with less heat. ISDT Q6 Retro also can measure internal resistance.
