ISDT BattAir Plugin charging module works as an intelligent DC-DC converter with a controller. It receives 5V power from the USB-C port (USB Power Delivery standard). Internal circuitry increases this voltage to the level required for 2S LiPo (8.4V). At the same time, the microprocessor communicates with the battery through the balancing connector.

It reads the current voltage of each cell and the total voltage of the battery. Based on these data, a safe charging current is calculated.
