Operating principle and technical details
Charger ISDT C4 Evo is a complex integrated system. Four channels operate in parallel under the control of the central processor. Each channel has its own power circuit and balancing circuit. When the battery is connected, the device reads its initial voltage. It determines the type of battery (LiPo, Li-ion) and the number of cells.
An individual CC/CV charging algorithm is then run for each channel. Active balancing works in real time on all four channels. It does not simply discharge the leading cells, but pumps energy between them. This is the fastest and most effective leveling method. ISDT C4 Evo monitors temperature and other parameters. In case of any deviations, the process on the problematic channel stops.
