Operating principle and opportunities for the developer
The LILYGO T-Energy-S3 board is designed to create energy-independent Internet of Things devices. The ESP32-S3 microcontroller with support for Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5 LE processes data from connected sensors and transmits them wirelessly. With built-in 18650 battery holder, the device can work autonomously for a long time. The ADC pin allows you to programmatically monitor the battery charge level.
Two 20-pin GPIO connectors provide access to 32 I/O lines. This is enough to connect a variety of sensors, displays and actuators. The board is compatible with the Arduino and PlatformIO development environments, and also has ready-made examples of sketches for deep sleep and working in Wi-Fi station mode.
The LILYGO T-Energy-S3 board is ideal for creating autonomous weather stations, portable GPS trackers, remote monitoring systems, smart sensors and LoRa network nodes. Conveniently powered by a common 18650 battery and featuring a rich set of interfaces, it is an excellent base for any field IoT projects, including drone ground stations and telemetry collection systems.
