Choose the compact Benewake TF-Luna laser rangefinder for accurate distance measurement!

Get a reliable sensor for drones, robots and smart devices. The Benewake TF-Luna laser rangefinder measures distances from 0.2 to 8 meters with high accuracy and operates in bright sunlight up to 70,000 lux. Ultra-light weight of 9 grams and compact body allow it to be integrated into any design. Choose a proven solution for your projects.

  • Wide range 0.2–8 m. Works effectively both at close and medium distances.

  • High accuracy ±6 cm. Provides reliable data for stabilization and navigation.

  • Resistance to external illumination 70 klx. Works stably even under bright sun.

  • Universal interfaces. UART and I²C support for easy integration with Arduino, STM32 and Raspberry Pi.

  • Miniature body. Size 35x21x13mm, weight 9g for installation in tight spaces.

Operating principle and scope of application

The Benewake TF-Luna laser rangefinder uses pulsed time-of-flight (ToF) technology. The class 1 laser with a wavelength of 905 nm is absolutely safe for the eyes. The device emits a short pulse of light and measures its return time, calculating the distance to the object. Built-in filtering algorithms ensure stable operation even in bright sun conditions.

The sensor is ideal for unmanned aerial vehicles: altitude hold, automatic landing, obstacle detection. Widely used in robotics, smart home systems, automatic doors and autofocus cameras.

Measuring range:

  • 0.2...8 meters for light objects with 90% reflectivity
  • 0.2…2.5 meters for dark objects with 10% reflectivity

Measurement accuracy:

  • ±60 mm up to 3 meters (tested on bright objects with 90% reflectivity)
  • ±2% from 3 to 8 meters (tested on bright, reflective objects
  • 90%)
  • Measurement resolution: 10 mm
  • FoV (angle of view): 2 degrees
