Buy the LILYGO T3S3 E-Paper module to create energy-efficient IoT devices with information display and ultra-long-range communication
This is a low-power development board based on ESP32-S3, combining a 2.13-inch E-Paper display and an SX1262 LoRa transceiver. The module is ideal for autonomous projects: electronic price tags, monitoring systems and field weather stations.
The LILYGO brand is a Chinese manufacturer founded in 2018 in Shenzhen. The company specializes in open hardware solutions for the Internet of Things. LILYGO products include ESP32-based boards, LoRa modules, displays and smartwatches. The brand is known for high build quality and active support from the developer community.
5 main advantages
- Dual-core ESP32-S3 processor with 240 MHz frequency for fast data processing.
- 2.13-inch E-Paper display with a resolution of 250x122 pixels for displaying information even in bright sunlight.
- Built-in LoRa module SX1262 for ultra-long-range communication over kilometers with minimal power consumption.
- Supports Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 for flexible integration into any projects.
- Powered by USB or 3.7V lithium polymer battery for autonomous operation in the field.
The ESP32-S3 microcontroller processes data and controls the device logic. E-Paper display displays static information (text, graphics) with minimal power consumption, maintaining the image even when the power is turned off. The SX1262 LoRa module provides long-distance and energy-efficient data transmission. The board supports dual power: via USB Type-C or from a Li-Po battery (connected via a 2-pin JST connector), which makes it ideal for mobile and standalone projects.
Specifications
The T3S3 E-Paper model is built on an ESP32-S3FH4R2 microcontroller with two Tensilica LX7 cores operating at frequencies up to 240 MHz. Flash memory is 4 MB, PSRAM is 2 MB. The built-in module supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 5.0 LE.
The 2.13-inch E-Paper display (DEPG0213BN) has a resolution of 250x122 pixels and a size of 48.55x23.70 mm. The board has a LoRa transceiver SX1262 for frequencies 868/915 MHz. There is a slot for a microSD card and a connector for an external IPEX antenna. The dimensions of the board are 67×29 mm.
Features of the model range
LILYGO T3S3 E-Paper module is a unique combination of ESP32-S3, E-Paper display and LoRa module. This is the first board from LILYGO that combines all three components. It is based on the earlier T3S3 with OLED display, but has an energy-efficient E-Paper screen for long battery life. The module is fully compatible with popular development environments such as Arduino IDE and PlatformIO, and has open documentation on GitHub.
