Operating principle and opportunities for the developer
The LILYGO T-ETH-Lite board is built on the basis of a powerful ESP32-S3 microcontroller (or ESP32 in another version), which controls all functions of the device. The built-in W5500 (or RTL8201) Ethernet controller connects to the microcontroller via an SPI interface, providing a stable wired network. With PoE support, the board can receive power directly through the network cable, making it easier to install in remote locations.
The TF card slot allows you to store large amounts of data, such as sensor logs or web server files. Development is carried out in the Arduino IDE and PlatformIO environments, and numerous examples are available on GitHub: web server, MQTT client, OTA updates and working with an SD card.
