How does this surveying tool work?

The Leica TS07 R1000 5″ total station measures horizontal and vertical angles with an accuracy of 5 seconds. The built-in PinPoint laser rangefinder with a narrow beam beam determines distances to objects at a distance of up to 1000 meters without installing a reflector. When working with a prism, the range increases to 3500 meters in standard mode and up to 10 kilometers in long distance mode.

The accuracy of linear measurements is 1 mm + 1.5 ppm per reflector and 2 mm + 2 ppm in non-reflector mode. The two-axis compensator automatically corrects instrument tilt errors within ±4′ with an accuracy of 1.5″. The Windows CE operating system and built-in FlexField software with graphical guidance make field tasks easy.

Laser plummet and double-sided infinity-type aiming screws speed up installation and targeting. All information is stored in internal memory of 2 GB or on an SD card up to 8 GB, and is transmitted via USB, RS232 or Bluetooth ports.
