How the E1R solid state lidar works

There are no rotating mirrors or motors inside. A flexible 2D VCSEL matrix controls radiation without mechanics. The light pulse is reflected from obstacles and returns. A SPAD-SoC chip with 250,000 pixels picks up the signal. The processor turns it into an accurate 3D cloud of 144 lines. You get reliable and accurate robot vision.

The specific functionality of E1R solves many problems. The sensor builds a 3D terrain map for SLAM. The robot accurately sees pedestrians, cars and poles. He avoids obstacles outdoors and indoors. The density of dots allows you to detect even small objects.
