Operating principle and image quality

The camera is built on a monochrome AR0234CSSM sensor from ON Semiconductor with global shutter technology. Unlike a rolling shutter, it reads the signal simultaneously from all pixels of the matrix, which eliminates geometric distortions and the “jelly” effect when shooting fast processes. The pixel size of 3x3 micrometers provides high light sensitivity and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. Monochrome design without a Bayer color filter captures more detail and light, which is critical for computer vision and image analysis tasks.

The device supports two main operating modes: video stream mode (Free Running) and external hardware or software trigger mode. This allows the camera to be used for both continuous recording and synchronized shooting based on a signal. The built-in Strobe Output makes it possible to synchronize external lighting with the moment the frame is captured.
