How the SDKELI safety laser scanner works

The device operates on the principle of a pulsed laser rangefinder (Time-of-Flight). Infrared laser (905 nm) scans space at 270°, sending 25,000 pulses per second. The reflected signal returns to the receiver, and the microprocessor calculates the distance to each object in the scanning area.

Based on this data, the system generates a two-dimensional map with an angular resolution of 0.36°. You can set multiple protection and warning zones to stop or slow down the AGV when an obstacle appears. Response time is only 80–640 ms, allowing you to react instantly to danger.
