The device operates using pulsed time-of-flight (ToF) technology. The class 1 laser with a wavelength of 850 nm is absolutely safe for the eyes. Operating principle and key technologies

The Benewake TF02-Pro laser rangefinder uses pulsed Time-of-Flight technology. A laser with a wavelength of 850 nm (class 1) emits a short pulse of light. The device measures the return time of the reflected signal and calculates the distance to the object. Built-in filtering and compensation algorithms ensure stable operation in bright sun, fog and other difficult conditions. The rangefinder has compact dimensions of 44x43x32 mm and weighs only 60 grams. The operating temperature range is from -20 to +60°C.

The sensor is ideal for unmanned aerial vehicles, providing precise navigation, obstacle avoidance and automatic landing. Widely used in collision avoidance systems for autonomous vehicles, industrial safety, in agriculture for monitoring the level of bulk materials and in perimeter security systems.
