Operating principle and applications
The Benewake TF02-i laser rangefinder uses pulsed time-of-flight technology. The 850 nm laser (class 1, eye-safe) emits a short pulse of light. The device measures the return time of the reflected signal and calculates the distance to the object. Built-in filtration algorithms ensure stable operation in bright sunshine and difficult weather conditions.
The sensor is ideal for unmanned aerial vehicles: altitude hold, automatic landing, obstacle detection. Widely used in automobile collision avoidance systems, industrial automation, security systems and in agriculture to control the level of bulk materials.
