Operating principle and features for sailors
The Argut A-18 radio station is specially designed for use on ships. It operates in analog mode with frequency modulation (FM). The frequency range covers international navigation communication channels 156.025–157.425 MHz and 160.625–162.000 MHz, as well as weather service channels 162.400–163.275 MHz.
The direct conversion receiver has a sensitivity of 0.25 µV (-119 dBm), which guarantees clear reception of even weak signals. 60 dB adjacent channel selectivity and 65 dB intermodulation selectivity minimize interference from other radios. The transmitter provides 2 W (low) or 5 W (high) carrier power. Maximum frequency deviation 5 kHz.
Frequency deviation is no more than ±2.5 ppm. Sound output power 1 W at 5% THD. Built-in lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh (7.4 V) ensures long-term operation. The SMA antenna connector (f) allows you to connect external antennas. The case has dimensions of 63x148x42 mm without antenna and 63x276x42 mm with antenna. Weight 260 g without antenna, 285 g with antenna. Operating temperature range from -20 to +60°C.
The Argut A-18 radio station is ideal for small vessels, boats, yachts and pleasure boats. It complies with international maritime communications standards. Ease of operation and availability of all necessary channels make it an excellent choice for skippers and boating enthusiasts.
