Buy the compact Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ microcomputer for your ground stations and embedded systems!
Get a full-fledged single-board computer to realize your wildest ideas. Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ is the balance of performance and compactness in the Raspberry Pi line. It is a compromise between the full-size Model B+ and the ultra-compact Zero W.
The 64-bit quad-core processor and built-in wireless interfaces make it an ideal platform for creating telemetry ground stations, video repeaters, as well as for learning programming and creating smart home projects.
-
64-bit quad-core processor. The 1.4 GHz Broadcom BCM2837B0 SoC delivers high performance .
-
Compact size. The board has dimensions of only 65x56x12 mm, which is smaller than the B+ model.
-
Built-in wireless interfaces. Dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 with BLE on board.
-
Full HDMI output. The HDMI 1.3a port allows you to connect monitors and TVs with resolutions up to Full HD (1080p).
-
Flexibility of expansion. 40-pin GPIO connector and microSD memory card slot for connecting peripherals and loading OS.
Operating principle and scope of application
The Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ is a system on a single chip that runs the Linux operating system installed on a microSD memory card. Thanks to a 64-bit processor and VideoCore IV graphics accelerator, the board copes with a wide range of tasks: from web surfing to hardware H.264 video decoding.
In the context of FPV and unmanned systems, this microcomputer can serve as the basis for a ground station, processing telemetry, receiving video signal and controlling peripheral devices via GPIO. The absence of a bulky Ethernet port and the presence of only one USB port made the board much more compact than the B series models.
