How does MIMO MESH network work?
The devices form a self-organizing and self-healing mesh network (Mesh). MIMO technology with spatial multiplexing and beamforming increases range. The system operates without a central node (AD-hoc) in conditions where there is no line of sight. Data packets automatically find the optimal route through neighboring nodes. When one node leaves, the network is instantly reconfigured.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The XK-F357 model uses a portable or on-board station form factor. The Mobile Network MIMO (MN-MIMO) waveform provides adaptive TD-COFDM modulation from BPSK to 256QAM. The receiver is sensitive to -103 dBm in the 5 MHz band. The latency of one hop is on average 10 ms. Operating frequency ranges UHF from 350 to 700 MHz (L‑band optional). The channel band is switchable from 2.5 to 40 MHz.
The device supports point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, chain and mesh topologies. Parameters (frequency, power, network ID) are controlled locally or remotely. Interfaces include Ethernet and serial ports for connecting cameras and sensors. Power is supplied from the built-in battery or an external source. The operating temperature ranges from -20 to +60°C. Network deployment time is less than 30 seconds.
