Working principle and advanced technology
The MAD FOC 40A 6S controller uses vector control technology (Field-Oriented Control), which is fundamentally different from standard controllers. Instead of roughly switching phases, FOC continuously calculates the optimal current vector to produce maximum torque with minimum losses . This ensures a sinusoidal current flow on the motor windings, which leads to absolutely smooth rotation, the absence of characteristic whistles and vibrations, as well as increased efficiency.
The built-in CAN interface allows the regulator to communicate with the flight controller. The pilot can monitor critical parameters in real time: battery voltage and current, regulator temperature and system health. This allows you to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner and extends the life of the equipment. The compact design and sophisticated protection circuitry make this ESC a reliable solution for professional applications.
Specifications and customization options
| Characteristics | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Model | AMPX FOC 40A 4-6S 4IN1 |
| Recommended batteries (LiPo) | 4–6S |
| Maximum input voltage | 30.5 V |
| Direct current | 40 A |
| Peak current (short term) | 60 A |
| BEC | Missing |
| Weight | 17 g |
| Operating temperature | -20 to 50 °C |
| PWM input pulse | 200–2000 µs |
| Digital control | CAN or UART |
| PWM signal level | 3.3V / 5V |
Thanks to CAN or UART support, the controller is easily integrated into professional control systems and allows you to receive detailed telemetry. The absence of an integrated BEC reduces weight and simplifies the design by requiring a separate power conditioner for the flight controller. The device is designed to operate over a wide temperature range and is highly stable.
