The Readytosky RS2205 2300KV brushless external rotor motor (Outrunner) converts battery electrical energy into mechanical rotational power. The KV 2300 setting means the motor spins 2300 revolutions per minute for every volt of voltage, resulting in high speed and responsiveness. It creates an high thrust of up to 1024 grams, sufficient for sharp accelerations and confident performance of aerobatics.
The 12N14P configuration (12 stator coils and 14 rotor magnets) provides smooth running and high torque. To achieve full potential, it is recommended to use a 30-40 A ESC and 5-inch propellers, such as the HQ 5045 BN. The motor runs on 3-4S LiPo batteries, making it versatile for different classes of racing. Active cooling fins on the case effectively remove excess heat, which is critical under high loads.
