Design and types of antennas for UAVs
The antenna consists of a conductive part, a base, a coaxial cable and a connector. Different antennas have different frequencies (eg 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz, etc.). This is extremely important to consider when purchasing such
components. The antennas have SMA and RP-SMA connectors. Pay attention to the connector available on your video transmitter when selecting an antenna.
These devices come in different types: circular; linear; diol; spiral; patch antennas. Different types of antennas are used in different situations, depending on the functionality and purpose of the device. How to choose a suitable antenna? Pay special attention to installing the antenna on the device. For the antenna to work efficiently and stably, it must be installed perpendicular to the direction of the camera. This mount ensures that the antenna is always directed upward during flight. Based on its location, it is recommended to install it at the rear of the copter.
