Order the FATJAY 6A UBEC module - stable power for critical drone electronics
The FATJAY 6A UBEC module is a voltage stabilizer for the on-board network of your drone. It provides clean, stable power to sensitive electronics. This compact converter improves the safety and reliability of the entire system. You will protect the flight controller, receiver and servos from power surges. This is a simple and effective solution for professional assembly.
Key advantages of the device
-
High output current up to 6 A. Enough to power powerful equipment.
-
Reliable output voltage stabilization. Protects electronics from power battery instability.
-
Compact size and light weight. Doesn't take up much space on the drone frame.
-
High efficiency and effective heat dissipation. Minimizes energy loss and heat.
-
Wide input voltage range 2-6S. Versatility for different battery configurations.
The essence of the work and the principle of stabilization
This is a pulse step-down voltage stabilizer (Step-Down BEC). It receives high voltage input from the drone's power battery. Internal circuitry converts this voltage to a stable 5V or 6V. Conversion occurs with high frequency and minimal losses. At the output, the module produces pure direct current up to 6 amperes. This ensures the operation of all low-current electronics of the device.
Technical characteristics and scope
The FATJAY 6A module works with 2S-6S lithium polymer batteries. Input voltage can be from 7V to 26V. The output voltage is fixed - 5V or 6V depending on the modification. Maximum output current is 6 amperes at constant load. This is enough to power the complex electronics of even a large drone.
This UBEC is critical for drones with HD digital FPV systems. Such systems consume a lot of current and are susceptible to interference. The module is also necessary for devices with many servos or LEDs. It is indispensable when using 4S and higher batteries. Powering electronics directly from them is extremely dangerous.
Connecting the module is simple: input to the main battery connector. The output is connected to the flight controller power bus or distributor. Be sure to observe polarity when connecting wires. It is advisable to secure the module to the frame using double-sided tape. Avoid placing near sources of intense heat.
It is important to correctly calculate the total consumption of your equipment. Make sure it does not exceed 6 amps with a margin. Using a separate UBEC reduces the load on the ESCs. This improves the overall reliability of the drone's power system. After installation, check the output voltage with a tester.
