How does this high torque servo drive work?
The SPT 5435LV servo drive is a standard size digital device. It converts the PWM signal (neutral 1500 µs, frequency 330 Hz) into mechanical movement of the output shaft. The rotation angle is 180 degrees with a pulse range of 500–2500 μs. A dead zone of only 4 µs ensures high positioning accuracy.
A powerful commutator motor and metal gearbox transmit force up to 29 kg cm. Two ball bearings on the output shaft minimize backlash. The semi-aluminum body dissipates heat, which is important during prolonged use. Quiescent current 100 mA, rated current 1.4 A, blocking current 3.5 A. The output gear is compatible with Futaba 25T rockers. Operating temperature from -10 to +50 °C.
The SPT 5435LV servo drive is ideal for controlling cargo release systems on heavy drones, rotating mechanisms of professional gimbals, control surfaces of large aircraft models and ground vehicles. High torque and robust design make it an excellent choice for demanding applications.
