Order the Hobbywing Skywalker V2 40A ESC regulator - it is reliable and smooth!
The Hobbywing Skywalker V2 40A ESC regulator is the standard of reliability for quadcopters. This speed controller provides smooth and precise control of motors. It is suitable for racing drones and aerial photography equipment. You will get stable operation of the power plant in any mode. This is an updated version of the popular model with improved characteristics.
The device is responsible for the rotation speed of each brushless motor. It receives signals from the flight controller many times per second. The regulator then supplies precisely calculated current to the motor windings. The behavior of the entire drone depends on its speed and accuracy.
-
Proven reliability and stability in any flight conditions.
-
Exceptionally smooth and linear response to the pilot's commands.
-
Wide Compatibility with popular motors and protocols.
-
A set of intelligent protections for the engine and the electronics itself.
-
Easy to set up through a tweeter and just one button.
Operating principle and key features
The regulator acts as a high speed electronic switch. It converts DC battery voltage into three-phase AC current. The frequency and shape of this current determine the speed and torque of the motor. Hobbywing algorithms optimize this process for minimal waste. Your drone will make the most of its battery power.
Technical characteristics make this model universal. Continuous current is 40 amps with a peak value of 55A. The operating voltage supports batteries from 2 to 6 series (S). The built-in BEC produces a stable 5 volts and 5 amps. This is enough to power the controller and receiver. All modern protocols are supported: Dshot1200, Multishot, Oneshot.
The functionality includes advanced smooth startup algorithms. The engine begins to rotate without jerks or disruptions in synchronization. The regulator automatically adapts to the electrical parameters of the motor. The protection system protects against overcurrent and overheating. There is also protection against signal loss and low voltage.
Setup is carried out without connecting to a computer. There is one service button and a speaker on the case. Sound signals clearly indicate operating modes. You can select the direction of rotation and the type of braking. The intensity of telemetry signals is also adjusted.
The device body is made of high quality materials. Heat-resistant resin protects the board from moisture and dust. The heat sink substrate effectively dissipates power. Compact dimensions and weight facilitate installation on the frame. The wires are of sufficient length for convenient wiring throughout the drone.
This ESC works great with different sized motors. It is ideal for assembling quadcopters ranging in size from 3 to 5 inches. You will get predictable and confident behavior of the device in the air. The smoothness of the ride is especially appreciated in aerial photography and freestyle.
