Founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of the Zhongfu Group, the firm quickly became a major player in the market by purchasing technology from the Italian company Giacomino. By 2016, the enterprise reached a capacity of up to 6,000 tons of carbon fiber per year.
In 2022, together with Sinopec, Zhongfu Carbon developed a technology for the production of large-scale precursor from technical lignin.
