Operating principle and customization options

Baofeng UV-5R EX is a portable transceiver with digital controls and an LCD display that displays all the necessary information. The walkie-talkie can operate in two main modes: frequency mode (VFO), where you manually set the desired frequency using the keyboard, and channel mode (MR), where pre-programmed channels are used for communication. Switching between them is done with the [VFO/MR] button.

Thanks to a wide range of functions, the radio station can be finely tuned for specific tasks. The Voice Activated (VOX) feature allows you to initiate a voice transmission without pressing the PTT button. CTCSS and DCS subtone systems ensure the privacy of conversations by filtering out extraneous signals on the same frequency.
