How does this industrial electric motor work?

Maytech 120116 100KV is an internal rotor brushless DC motor. Unlike common Outrunner motors, its internal part rotates, but the body remains stationary. This allows the structure to be very compact and effectively remove heat. An electronic controller (ESC, sold separately) synchronously controls the stator windings, creating a rotating magnetic field.

Thanks to the Hall sensor (in the touch version), the controller always knows exactly the position of the rotor, ensuring a smooth and powerful start even under load. This scheme is very effective at high powers and allows torque to be transmitted directly to the shaft without intermediate gearboxes.
