How does a brushless motor work?
The three phases of the stator windings create a rotating magnetic field. The rotor's permanent magnets follow the field. The electronic controller (ESC) controls the phase switching. High rotation speed creates thrust for the drone. The absence of brushes makes the engine very durable.
