Buy Jilin Carbon Filament to Create Strong, Lightweight Composite Parts
High-strength fiber made in China for reinforcing drone bodies, blades and other loaded elements. Jilin Chemical Fiber Group is China's largest carbon fiber manufacturer located in Jilin Province. The company dates back to 1960 and today produces a full range of carbon products.
Over the years, the company has mastered the production of fibers of the T300, T700, T800 brands, and plans to produce heavy-duty T1000 and T1100. Jilin produces carbon filament in all popular linear densities: 1K, 3K, 6K, 12K and even 24K, covering the needs of micro-drones to large industrial UAVs.
Jilin carbon filament is widely used in aviation, wind power, sports equipment and, most importantly, in the production of drones. The company accounts for more than half of the market for composite parts for UAVs in China, and their carbon precursors have significantly reduced global prices for this material.
- Tensile strength 4200-4500 MPa for extreme loads.
- Modulus of elasticity from 235 GPa for maximum rigidity.
- Density of only 1.7 g/cm³ is 4.6 times lighter than steel.
- Carbon purity of at least 95% for stable properties.
- Resistivity 8-140 Ohm/m for antistatic applications.
How carbon fiber works
A bundle of thousands of microscopic filaments (7 microns each) is twisted into a single thread. When impregnated with a binder (epoxy resin), the load is evenly distributed between all fibers. As a result, the composite material turns out to be stronger than steel at many times less weight.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The Jilin GX-700 model has a tensile strength of 4200-4500 MPa. The elastic modulus is at least 235 GPa. The thread density is 1.7 ± 0.02 g/cm³. The diameter of an individual filament is 7 micrometers. The carbon content in the material is at least 95%. Elongation at break is 1.5 ± 0.02%. Electrical resistivity varies from 8 to 140 Ohm/m.
The standard 12K linear density is suitable for automated lay-up and 3D printing. The thread is used for the manufacture of carbon fiber pipes, panels and load-bearing elements. Ideal for reinforcing drone bodies, frame structures and rotor blades.
