Operating principle and design features

The BETAFPV 5.8G VTX universal antenna works as an omnidirectional emitter, converting the video transmitter signal into electromagnetic waves. Thanks to the wide operating band of 5.1–6.0 GHz, it is equally effective at all frequencies of the FPV range. The 2 dBi gain provides an optimal radiation pattern, combining good range with wide coverage.

A low standing wave ratio (SWR <2.0) means that almost all of the transmitter power goes into the air rather than being dissipated as heat. The miniature housing with a length of 50 mm and a diameter of 4.9 mm allows the antenna to be installed even in the tightest compartments of micro-drones.

This antenna is ideal for installation on micro drones (65-85mm), mini-quicks and racing copters where light weight is critical. It is compatible with most analog and digital video transmitters (VTX) and can be used as either a transmit or receive antenna depending on configuration.
