Order the ZED X camera for professional 3D vision for your robot or drone
The ZED X stereo camera from the Canadian brand Stereolabs is designed to solve complex problems in the field of robotics, automation and machine vision. The device combines two highly sensitive global shutter sensors and a powerful inertial measurement unit (IMU). The GMSL2 interface and rugged housing allow the camera to be used in the harshest conditions. It is a reliable tool for autonomous navigation, building 3D maps and real-time object recognition.
- Two 2.3 MP sensors with global shutter for clear synchronization.
- Frame rates up to 120 fps to capture fast motion.
- GMSL2 Power over Cable (PoC) interface for easy integration.
- Built-in 400Hz IMU for precise position tracking.
- Wide 120° field of view and rugged design for field use.
How the ZED X camera works
Two lenses with a synchronized global shutter capture the image simultaneously. Built-in IMU with a frequency of 400 Hz tracks movement in space. Stereolabs algorithms calculate a depth map for each frame. The GMSL2 interface transmits data over a distance of up to 15 meters. The camera is powered via the same coaxial cable. You get a turnkey solution for spatial perception and navigation of robots.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The sensors have a resolution of 2.3 MP (1920×1080) with 3 micron pixels. Frame rates reach 60 fps in full resolution and 120 fps in 960x600 mode. Shutter synchronization ensures accurate 3D reconstruction. The built-in IMU (accelerometer and gyroscope) operates at 400Hz with 16-bit resolution.
The camera viewing angle is 120° horizontally and 75° vertically. Dimensions of ZED X: 163.4 × 31.8 × 36.7 mm, weight - 239 g. GMSL2 interface via FAKRA type Z connector supports power over cable (PoC). Operating temperature ranges from -20 to +55°C. Mounting is via 1/4″-20 UNC threads and additional M3/M4 points.
