How does a PoE switch work?

The device accepts power through the Uplink input port or an external power supply. It then distributes the power between the two PoE output ports. The switch automatically detects connected PoE devices and supplies them with the necessary voltage. Thanks to gigabit ports, data and power are transmitted over a single cable over a distance of up to 100 meters, and in a special mode - up to 250 meters. This simplifies installation and reduces the cost of laying individual power lines.

Specifications

The switch has three RJ-45 ports of the 10/100/1000 Base-T standard. Two ports support PoE with output power up to 28W each. The Uplink input port accepts power up to 60W. The total PoE output power is 56 W (model SW-8030/D) or 90 W (model SW-8030/D(90W)).

Supported PoE standards: IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt. The device operates at temperatures from -10 to +55°C. Power is supplied via the Uplink port (up to 60 W) or via a DC 9-57 V connector. The dimensions of the switch are 88x25x70 mm, weight is 50 grams. Power supply is not included.
