Operating principle and design

The KST CM5018WP servo drive is a standard size, based on advanced Coreless motor technology. Unlike traditional brushed motors, the coreless motor has significantly lower rotor inertia, which allows it to accelerate and decelerate almost instantly, providing exceptional positioning accuracy and fast response to commands. The high-precision digital controller processes the signal at a frequency of 333 Hz (1520 μs), ensuring smooth, jerk-free movements.

The rugged, CNC-machined, aircraft-grade aluminum body not only adds rigidity to the structure, but also effectively dissipates heat from the engine and electronics, maintaining consistent performance under prolonged use. The hardened steel gearbox with two precision ball bearings ensures durability and resistance to the shock loads inevitable in hard landings and off-road driving of drones. Full IP68 protection ensures sealing even when submerged in water.
