Operating principle and key technologies
The Pacecat S300 lidar uses Solid State Flash technology, in which a laser flash illuminates the entire scene at once, and the receiver records the reflected signal. This completely eliminates mechanical rotating parts, making the device incredibly reliable and shock resistant. The built-in laser with a wavelength of 905 nm is safe for the eyes (class 1).
The sensor operates at a distance of 0.1 to 40 meters with an accuracy of ±5 cm and generates a point cloud with a resolution of 0.33° horizontally and vertically. The scanning frequency is 10 Hz, which provides up-to-date data for dynamic systems.
