Buy VEYE MV-MIPI-IMX178M camera for professional machine vision for your drone or robot
The VEYE MV-MIPI-IMX178M module is a high-sensitivity 6-megapixel monochrome camera for embedded systems. It is built on a Sony IMX178LLJ-C STARVIS sensor with a MIPI CSI-2 interface. The camera is specifically designed for machine vision tasks that require high detail and work in difficult lighting conditions. Thanks to its small size and rich functionality, this module is ideal for integration into drones, robotics and automation systems.
5 main advantages of the camera
- Highly sensitive Sony IMX178LLJ-C STARVIS sensor for clear images.
- 3088x2064 resolution and up to 40fps for detailed shots.
- Compact size 29x29x11mm and weight to fit on any drone.
- Wide temperature range from -30 to +60°C for operation in any conditions.
- Hardware and software trigger modes for precise synchronization with systems.
The Sony IMX178LLJ-C sensor converts light into a digital signal. Data is transmitted via the MIPI CSI-2 interface over two lines at a speed of 1.5 Gbit/s each. The camera supports three operating modes: video streaming, hardware and software trigger. Built-in image processing includes dead pixel correction, gamma correction, and a custom LUT. You get a flexible tool for vision systems and artificial intelligence.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The MV-MIPI-IMX178M model is equipped with a Sony IMX178LLJ-C sensor with a resolution of 3088x2064 pixels. The pixel size is 2.4×2.4 microns. The maximum frame rate reaches 40 fps in RAW8 format. The camera supports Mono8, Mono10 and Mono12 formats. Gain is adjustable from 0 to 48 dB in 0.1 dB steps. Automatic, manual and single exposure modes are available.
The built-in ISP includes dead pixel correction, 8-bit gamma and a custom LUT. ROI, mirroring and image reflection functions are supported. The camera has one trigger input and two multifunctional outputs with a level of 3.3 V. Power consumption is only 0.9 W with a 5 V supply. The module dimensions are 29 × 29 × 11 mm. The operating temperature ranges from -30 to +60°C. The lens mount is available in C-Mount and S-Mount standards.
