Operating principle and design
The TrueRC SNIPER II 5 GHz antenna is a type of directional patch antenna with circular polarization. Inside the flat housing is a unique multi-helix design that allows for gain not available with traditional patch antennas. The narrow radiation pattern with a beam width of only 40 degrees provides concentrated coverage and maximum efficiency in transferring energy in the desired direction.
Low side lobes ensure that the antenna does not pick up interference from lateral directions, leaving only the desired signal from the drone. Thanks to circular polarization, SNIPER II effectively combats reflected signals, providing clear and stable video even in difficult flight conditions such as urban areas or flights over water.
