The SpeedyBee F405 V5 55A stack combines a flight controller and a powerful 4-in-1 ESC in one compact solution. SpeedyBee is a Chinese brand specializing in innovative FPV drone solutions. The company was founded in 2019 by a team with many years of experience in aviation and automotive electronics.
The main products are compact flight controllers (F405 series) and ESC, Bluetooth adapters for configuration from the phone and proprietary configuration applications. How does the SpeedyBee stack work?
The 3-6S power is supplied to the 4-in-1 ESC, which distributes it to the motors and FC. The controller stabilizes the drone using sensors: a gyroscope and a barometer. The processor processes commands from the receiver. The OSD overlays telemetry data onto the video signal. You control the flight and see the parameters in the glasses.
Technical characteristics and functionality
The F405 V5 55A model supports 3-6S LiPo power supply. The ESC is rated for 55 amps per motor. The SPA06-003 barometer determines the altitude for automatic holding. OSD AT7456E overlays information on the video image. BEC 5V 2.5A powers receivers and LEDs (9 outputs). BEC 9V 2.5A (2 outputs) powers the camera and video transmitter, controlled by PINIO. Additional 4.5V 1A powers the receiver or GPS even from USB.
Six UART ports connect a variety of peripherals. ESC Telemetry is routed to UART5 to transmit motor data. Board size 39x39x4.9 mm. The stack weighs only 8.1 grams. Mounting holes 30.5×30.5 mm (M3). LED strips ST-LED and SB-LED are supported.
The stack is suitable for drones 5 inches and above. The high current ESC 55A handles aggressive freestyle. Numerous BECs allow you to connect all equipment without external converters. Barometer improves altitude control. 9V blocks are protected from short circuit.
