Operating principle and key technologies
Livox Mid-70 lidar uses non-repetitive scanning technology. Unlike traditional mechanical lidars with rotating mirrors, this method produces a unique pattern that does not repeat over time. Due to this, with increasing integration time, the density of the point cloud increases, allowing one to achieve detail comparable to 64-line analogues. A Class 1 (eye-safe) laser emits pulses at a wavelength of 905 nm.
The receiver measures the return time of the reflected signal, calculating the distance. The measurement accuracy is 2 cm, the angular accuracy is <0.1°. Beam divergence of 0.28° vertically and 0.03° horizontally provides high resolution at a distance. Data is transmitted via Ethernet at a speed of 100 Mbit/s, the delay does not exceed 2 ms.
IEEE 1588 (PTPv2), PPS and GPS synchronization protocols are supported. Power supply 10–15 V (optional 9–30 V), average power consumption 8 W. The case, measuring 97x64x62.7 mm and weighing 580 g, is protected according to the IP67 standard.
