Operating principle and key features
The SkyRC S65 charger is an intelligent microprocessor charge and discharge station. The process is fully automatic and controlled by a built-in controller. The device automatically interrupts the charge when a malfunction is detected or the established limits are reached: current and voltage for lithium batteries, temperature and delta peak for nickel batteries. For all types of batteries, automatic shutdown can be configured based on the maximum time and reached capacity.
The new charger has a quieter cooling system with a high-speed 7000-rpm fan that efficiently circulates air through the aluminum heatsink . The built-in balancer allows you to monitor the voltage of each battery cell in real time. The device memory stores up to 10 charge and discharge profiles for different battery types. An important function is the “warm-up” mode for a frozen battery when charging in the cold season.

The following modes are available for lithium batteries: balancing, charging (including fast), discharging and storage. The charge voltage for LiPo is set to 4.18-4.25 V per cell. For nickel batteries, there are modes of normal and automatic charging, discharging, re-peak (Re-peak) and cycling up to 5 cycles. For lead batteries, standard mode, AGM mode for absorbent glass fiber batteries and cold mode for temperatures from +5 to -20°C are available.
