Operating principle and technical capabilities
The ARINST VNA-PR1 vector network analyzer is designed to measure the matching characteristics of passive and active radio devices . The device compares the original probing signal with the signal reflected from or transmitted through the port of the device under test. Based on this data, the key parameters needed to configure FPV systems are calculated: voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), impedance, phase, loss, and distance to cable fault.
The device is equipped with two measurement ports for measuring parameters S11 (reflection) and S21 (transmission). Measurement results are displayed on a bright 4-inch resistive screen with a resolution of 800x480 in various graphic formats: Wolpert-Smith chart, polar chart, phase and magnitude graphs, VSWR graph and others.
For ease of use, it is possible to save up to 32 user presets and 32 measurement results. The device has a built-in 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery, which provides up to 2.5 hours of continuous operation. The kit includes adapters to protect the connectors from wear and a cable for connecting to a PC.
Areas of application and functionality
ARINST VNA-PR1 will become an indispensable tool for anyone involved in FPV flights. With it, you can fine-tune the antennas on the transmitter and receiver for maximum range and video signal purity, test the integrity of coaxial cables and measure their attenuation. The device allows you to measure the frequency response of amplifiers and filters, perform impedance matching using a Smith chart, and quickly find faults in cable routes.
High scanning speed (1000 points per second) and the ability to adjust the output power make working with the device as efficient as possible. The ARINST VNA-PR1 vector network analyzer is your key to professional configuration and diagnostics of radio equipment.
