Provide an accurate perception of space in all weather conditions. The Intel RealSense D456 camera is based on the popular D455 model and is equipped with an IP65 sealed housing that protects against dust and water jets. Three global shutter sensors and an integrated inertial measurement unit (IMU) make it an ideal solution for outdoor robotics, autonomous vehicle systems and drones. Choose a reliable tool for challenging field tasks. Order D456 right now in our store.
-
All-weather protection IP65. The housing is completely dustproof and protected from water jets, which guarantees operation in rain and dusty environments.
-
High range and accuracy. The ideal range is 0.6 – 6 meters with depth measurement accuracy less than 2% at a distance of 4 meters.
-
Three sensors with global shutter. Provide clear images of fast moving objects without distortion or “jelly” effect.
-
Built-in 6-axis IMU (Bosch BMI085). Highly accurate motion and orientation tracking to improve spatial awareness as you move your camera.
-
Universal connectivity and open SDK 2.0. Easy integration via USB-C and cross-platform support for popular languages and development environments.
How does this smart depth camera work?
The operating principle of the Intel RealSense D456 camera is based on active stereo vision. A pair of depth sensors capture images of the scene from different angles, similar to human vision. An infrared projector illuminates objects to improve visibility on uniform surfaces. The powerful Vision Processor D4 calculates the depth map in real time.
Thanks to the global shutter, the camera is ideal for capturing fast-moving objects, which is critical for drones and mobile robots. The built-in IMU captures acceleration and angular velocity, allowing the system to refine depth perception whenever the camera moves. This is especially valuable for stabilization and navigation in dynamic environments.
The Intel RealSense D456 camera is ideal for street robots, autonomous vehicle systems, outdoor digital displays, and any other solution that requires accurate depth analysis in challenging weather conditions.
