Mobility and all-weather platform
The Tornado robot moves at speeds of up to 7 km/h. The carrying capacity of its platform is 25 kilograms. It is available in three different sizes. Length varies from 0.74 to 0.87 meters. The width ranges from 0.43 to 0.48 meters. The height of the platform is 0.31 meters.
Weight depends on the selected version. Weight without battery is from 36 to 38 kilograms. With a battery, the weight increases to 40-42 kg. The robot has outstanding maneuverability. It takes rapids with a height of 0.22 meters. The platform is ascended by stairs with a slope of 30 degrees. The height of the step can be 0.18 meters.
The robot overcomes longitudinal and transverse slopes of up to 40 degrees. It can cross water obstacles 1 meter deep. The housing protection class complies with the IPX7 standard. Permissible operating temperature is from -30 to +50°C.
Control is carried out via a secure radio channel. In urban environments, the communication range reaches 500 meters. In open areas it increases to 1200 meters. The duration of continuous operation is 5 hours. In remote-interval mode this is 24 hours. The total service life can reach 900 hours.
Manipulator for precision operations
The robot is equipped with a five-degree manipulator. Plus a separate degree of freedom for the grip. Its maximum reach is 1.25 meters. The load capacity at full reach is 5 kilograms. Near a vehicle it lifts up to 15 kg.
The mass of the manipulator itself is 15 kilograms. The gripper jaws open up to 150 millimeters. The slewing ring rotates unlimitedly. One television camera is installed for visual control. The operator sees the situation around the robot.
