These advantages make the drone easier to assemble and configure. You don't need to find space for two devices. Fewer wires mean less risk of interference. The U-blox M8 chip enables fast satellite acquisition. Powerful VTX will provide a stable video signal at a distance.
The device performs two tasks simultaneously. The video transmitter sends an analog signal to the glasses. At the same time, the GPS receiver receives data from satellites. Coordinates and speed are transmitted to the flight controller. They are then displayed over the video in the OSD. You see all the information right in your FPV goggles.
The operating principle is based on the integration of two systems. The video track and GPS module operate independently. But they share a common power supply and communication interface. Data from GPS is transmitted via the UART protocol. This is the standard way to exchange information. The flight controller processes and displays the data.
Diatone Mamba BN-180 has precise parameters. The video transmitter operates in the 5.8 GHz band. It supports all standard channels and frequencies. The transmission power can be adjusted from 25 to 1200 mW. The GPS module uses a modern U-blox M8 chip. It supports GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou systems.
The device's supply voltage is 7-26 V. This allows it to be used with 2S-6S batteries. The module has compact dimensions of 46x32x9 mm. The weight of the device is only 13 grams. Antennas use MMCX and IPX connectors. These are standard and reliable connections.
The module easily integrates with flight controllers. Especially with Mamba and other boards on F4/F7. Configuration is carried out via Betaflight Configurator. You can assign a button to change the VTX power. The coordinates and speed will appear in the OSD automatically. This makes installation easy even for beginners.
