Lighting system SpeedyBee Bee35 Meteor LED V2 is an intelligent backlight for your quadcopter. It serves two key functions: enhances security and adds unique style. This system easily integrates with the SpeedyBee flight controller. You can control the lighting effects directly from the remote control or through the application. Your drone will become noticeable in the sky and unlike others.

This model is not just a set of LEDs. This is a smart board with its own processor and communication protocols. It receives drone status data from the flight controller. Based on this information, the system changes color, brightness and lighting mode. This makes the flight not only more beautiful, but also more informative for the pilot and spectators.

How smart lighting works

The LED board is connected to the flight controller via the LED_Strip port. It receives power and digital control signals. The built-in chip decodes commands from the controller. It lights up the required LEDs in accordance with the selected algorithm. Color and mode may change depending on drone activity.

The system uses telemetry data for useful indications. For example, it may flash red when the battery level is critical. Or show green when successfully receiving commands from the remote control. This allows you to visually monitor the status of the system even from a distance. Especially useful for group flights or performances.

Technical characteristics and unique functionality

The system is based on WS2812B programmable LEDs. There are 35 of them on the board, which ensures a bright and uniform glow. Control is via SPI or Dshot protocols for maximum speed. The board's power supply is 5V, current consumption depends on the brightness and number of active LEDs. Compatible with SpeedyBee F405 and other Betaflight based flight controllers.

The main functionality is available through the SpeedyBee smartphone application. Via Bluetooth, you select and customize dozens of lighting effects. You can create static color, running lights, gradients or color music. There are also modes that respond to the drone's roll, pitch and throttle. The settings are saved in the board's memory and work without connecting to a phone.

The system is very easy to install. The board has compact dimensions and several holes for mounting. It can be placed on the top or bottom plate of the frame. Connection requires only three wires: power, ground and signal. Pre-configuration in Betaflight takes a few minutes. Ready-made effect presets speed up the process.

This backlight solves several practical problems. It makes the drone visible when flying at sunset or twilight. Helps the pilot determine the orientation of the copter in the air. Serves as a spectacular element for racing and freestyle filming. It also works as a visual indicator of system events.
