How the H743 Slim v4 flight controller works

The board is powered by a 2-8S battery through a 6-36V input. TVS protection prevents damage from surges. The processor reads data from the IMU and barometer every millisecond. PID algorithms calculate adjustments for the motors. Signals via PWM outputs go to the ESC. The OSD overlays flight data onto the video signal. You control the drone in real time.

Technical characteristics and functionality

The H743 Slim v4 model is built on an STM32H743VIH6 processor (480 MHz). The amount of RAM is 1 MB, flash memory is 2 MB. Two ICM42688-P sensors are used on the SPI bus. The DPS368 barometer is connected to the I2C2 bus. OSD AT7456E works via SPI2, supports DJI FPV OSD. microSD (SDIO) slot for black box. Board dimensions 36x36 mm, mounting 30.5x30.5 mm. M4 holes with rubber inserts for M3. The weight of the flight controller is 7 grams.

Input voltage 6–36 V (2–8S LiPo) with TVS protection. BEC 5V delivers up to 2.5 A (max 3 A). LDO 3.3V supplies up to 200 mA. The filtered VTX/CAM output is switchable 5V or VBAT with current up to 2A. There is no current sensor, but there is a separate ADC input.

Vbat2 support up to 69V for second voltage measurement. UART ports: 7 (UART1,2,3,4,6,7,8) with built-in inversion. PWM outputs 13 pieces. Two I2C and one CAN interfaces.
