Order a reliable cross connector for assembling 3-bladed aircraft drone propellers!
Build your own efficient power plant. The connector for 3 blades for propellers is made in the form of a cross. It rigidly fixes three separate blades at an angle of 120 degrees on the motor shaft. This allows you to create propellers for unique tasks with optimal diameter and pitch. You will have maximum flexibility when customizing your aircraft.
- Individual traction adjustment: Allows you to combine blades to create the perfect propeller for your engine and model.
- Durable, aircraft-grade aluminum construction: The rigid connection accurately transmits torque from the motor to the blades without loss.
- Better balancing at high speeds: Uniform distribution of centrifugal forces reduces vibration and load on the motor.
- Versatility of installation for different shafts: 5-8mm mounting hole fits most brushless motors.
- Flight stability: The third blade provides increased traction and stability during maneuvers.
How this connector works and its features
The spider connector is a transition element between the motor shaft and the three separate propeller blades. It is tightly fixed to the motor shaft using locking screws and a central nut. Three grooves at an angle of 120 degrees firmly hold the blades, ensuring their synchronous rotation. This design allows you to flexibly select blades for specific flight tasks.
For heavy aircraft, you can install wide blades with a large pitch, and for high-speed flights, narrower ones. This is not possible when using non-separable ready-made screws.
Specifications and installation
| Characteristics | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Number of blades | 3 |
| Material | Aviation aluminum 6061 |
| Shaft diameter (mm) | 5 / 6 / 8 |
| Cross dimensions (mm) | 50×50×12 |
| Weight | 15–25 g |
| Angle between grooves | 120° |
Before installation, make sure that the diameter of the connector mounting hole matches the shaft of your motor. Tighten the locking screws evenly to avoid wobbling. Always check the balance of the assembled propeller before first flight.
Applications for model aircraft and drones
The cross connector is indispensable when building experimental and scale replicas of aircraft. It allows you to use powerful brushless motors with homemade or modified blades. Widely used on 3D aerobatic models and heavy gliders.
