Ubiquiti AirFiber 5XHD is a carrier-grade radio module for high-speed point-to-point connections. At the heart of the device is Ubiquiti's proprietary airFiber LTU IC, which overcomes the fundamental limitations of standard Wi-Fi chips. Patented Hybrid Diversity Duplexing (HDD) technology uses a ranking algorithm to calculate propagation delay and precisely determine when the transmitter and receiver turn on, virtually eliminating that delay.
The system supports adaptive modulation up to 4096 QAM and RX duty cycle adjustment with selectable ratios of 25%, 33%, 50%, 66.7% or 75%. GPS synchronization with ±0.2 ppm accuracy makes it easy to combine multiple devices on the same tower and reuse frequencies without mutual interference. The built-in dedicated receiver enables continuous spectrum analysis via the airView app without interrupting the main communication link.
