Buy the Radiomaster ERS-BA01 altitude sensor for accurate telemetry of your drone!
Get a reliable tool to control your drone's altitude. The Radiomaster ERS-BA01 sensor is a compact barometric altimeter specifically designed for ExpressLRS receivers. The device measures atmospheric pressure and converts it into accurate relative altitude data. Data is sent via CRSF directly to your EdgeTX console.
Thanks to its small size and weight, it is ideal for aircraft, multicopters and any FPV models where accuracy and feedback are important.
-
High measurement accuracy. The altitude error is only ±0.5 meters for reliable flight control.
-
Low power consumption. Operating current of only 9mA has virtually no impact on the overall flight time of your model .
-
Convenient cascade connection. The presence of a pass-through UART port allows you to connect multiple sensors in series without complicating the wiring .
-
Compact and light weight. Dimensions 23.5x13x7 mm and weight 3.5 grams allow it to be placed in any compartment without compromising flight characteristics.
-
Easy setup and compatibility. Works with Radiomaster ER6, ER8, ER8G receivers and other ELRS receivers that have a free UART port.
Operating principle and main functions
The Radiomaster ERS-BA01 sensor connects to the receiver via the UART interface and exchanges data using the CRSF protocol. The internal sensor measures the current atmospheric pressure, after which the built-in microcontroller converts these readings into a relative altitude value. This data is transmitted in real time to the transmitter. This allows the pilot to always know the exact flight altitude.
To correctly display telemetry on remote controls with EdgeTX firmware, the RadioMaster Sensor Configurator LUA script is used. It also allows you to record flight data for later analysis.
Specifications and Compatibility
The device operates in a wide range of supply voltages from 5 to 8.4 Volts, which makes it compatible with most receivers. The sensor remains operational at temperatures from -10 to +85 degrees Celsius. The sensor is supplied with heat-shrinkable tubing for reliable insulation of connections. To connect to receivers that do not have a dedicated UART port, you will need to reassign two PWM outputs via the Web interface or the ExpressLRS LUA script.
