Multi-level protection. Built-in protection against overload, short circuit, signal loss and over temperature .
Operating principle and design features
The MAD AMPX PRO 40A controller belongs to a class of electronic speed controllers for brushless motors, specially optimized for quadcopters. Its operation is based on intelligent software with automatic timing adjustment function, which adapts to different motors directly during operation.
This ensures maximum compatibility and efficiency without the need for manual configuration. The signal wires are designed as twisted pairs, which effectively reduces crosstalk and ensures stable signal transmission even at high control frequencies up to 600Hz .
A key feature is DEO (Driving Efficiency Optimization) technology, which significantly improves throttle linearity, making drone control more predictable and smooth . When the throttle is reduced, the regulator actively slows down the motor, which improves maneuverability and flight stabilization. The regulator features powerful, ultra-low resistance power switches to minimize heat and improve overall system efficiency.
Specifications and installation
| Characteristics | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Direct current | 40 A |
| Peak current (10 sec) | 60 A |
| Input Voltage (LiPo) | 2–6S (7.4–25.2 V) |
| BEC | Missing |
| Weight | 22-28 g |
| Dimensions | 66 x 20 x 10 mm |
| Signal frequency | up to 600 Hz+ |
| Power wires | Length 70 mm (to battery), 60 mm (to motor) |
The regulator does not have a built-in BEC, which requires a separate power supply for the flight controller. Before first use, it is strongly recommended to calibrate the gas range according to the instructions. Built-in protections will automatically turn off power when overcurrent (more than 60A for 3 seconds), short circuit (more than 120A), overheat above 140°C or signal loss for more than 0.3 seconds.
