Operating principle and technical capabilities
The Waveshare Laser Range rangefinder uses laser pulse time-of-flight technology. The Class 1 laser with a wavelength of 940 nm is safe for human eyes. The device supports three measurement modes: short (up to 2.16 m), medium (up to 3.60 m) and long (up to 5.00 m). The accuracy ranges from ±1.0 to ±1.5 cm depending on the mode. Resolution reaches 1 millimeter.
An adjustable field of view from 15 to 27 degrees allows you to adapt the sensor to specific conditions. The refresh rate is adjustable up to 100Hz.
