Operating principle and design
The T-MOTOR FT800 video transmitter receives the video signal from the FPV camera and converts it into radio waves for transmission to the pilot's glasses or monitor. The built-in generator generates a carrier frequency in the 5.8 GHz range, and a power amplifier provides the necessary range.
The device is controlled either by buttons on the board itself, or via the SmartAudio 2.1 digital protocol via the same cable as video. This allows the pilot to switch power and channels mid-flight without touching the drone.
The special design of the transmitter prevents interference with adjacent channels when turned on. This is critical when flying in groups and in competitions where many pilots are working simultaneously.
