How does this powerful servo drive work?

The DSpower DS-R003B servo drive is a digital high-voltage device. It converts the PWM signal (neutral 1500 µs) into mechanical movement of the output shaft. A dead zone of 8 µs ensures positioning accuracy. The pulse range of 500–2500 µs corresponds to a rotation angle of 180° or 300° (depending on setting).

The mechanical limit angle is 360°, which protects the gearbox in case of accidental overtravel. It is based on a powerful commutator motor (main motor). Metal gearbox with 25-tooth output gear and bearings ensures smoothness and reliability. The body is made of ABS plastic. The quiescent current is not specified, but the blocking current reaches 5000 mA.
